Florida Space Grant Video Project
Models and trace files
This page contains downloadable simulation models and traces file for the
Florida Space Grant Video Project. Unless otherwise stated, all software is
made available here for open use with no restrictions.
Simulation models:
The simulation models all require the CSIM18 function libraries. CSIM18 is a
commercial product available from Mesquite
Software, Inc.. After unzipping a downloaded model file, see the
readme.txt file for a description of the model.
- node0a.zip - Model of a single server queue with
packetized video input
- node1.zip - Model of a timed reservation protocol
for a passive fiber network
- node2.zip - Model of a token passing protocol
- node3.zip - Model of a store-and-forward bus
protocol
- 1394.zip - Model of an IEEE 1394-1995 FireWire
asynchronous packet protocol
- 1394a.zip - Model of an IEEE 1394a FireWire
asynchronous packet protocol
- 1394b.zip - Model of an IEEE 1394b FireWire
asynchronous packet protocol
- 1394biso.zip - Model of an IEEE 1394b FireWire
isochronous packet protocol
Trace files:
The following are packet trace files for CuSeeMe helmet-mounted (helmet is
human mounted - see figure on the evaluation page)
and fixed-mounted camera views of the evaluation procedure. The header of
each file contains information about the file contents.
The following are packet trace files for CuSeeMe and NetMeeting video
clips for four different views (a black lens cap, a white wall, a stationary
"toy", and a moving "toy"). The packet traces were used for bandwidth
characterization.
- cu_lenscap.txt - CuSeeMe trace of a
lens cap (no motion and no very simple image)
- cu_whitewall.txt - CuSeeMe trace of a
white wall (no motion and no very simple image)
- cu_stilltoy.txt - CuSeeMe trace of a
racetrack toy with no motion (complex image)
- cu_movetoy.txt - CuSeeMe trace of a
racetrack toy with motion
- net_lenscap.txt - NetMeeting trace of a
lens cap (no motion and no very simple image)
- net_whitewall.txt - NetMeeting trace of a
white wall (no motion and no very simple image)
- net_stilltoy.txt - NetMeeting trace of a
racetrack toy with no motion (complex image)
- net_movetoy.txt - NetMeeting trace of a
racetrack toy with motion
