requirement for participating in this program is admission into the department
as a student in good standing. CSE Volunteers is open to both undergraduate
and graduate students. Volunteering students are assigned in pairs to IT
projects in Hillsborough County K-12 schools. The students serve as assistants
to IT support representatives and are assigned to schools as needed. The
expected time commitment is four hours per week for academic semester.
Students can earn up to one hour of independent study credit for their
successful participation in the program.
Other community service efforts related to Computer Science are also possible.
