IBM PhD Forum 2013

I am pleased to introduce the IBM PhD Forum on Pervasive Computing and Communications, 2013. The PhD Forum provides promising PhD students in areas relevant to the PerCom conference an opportunity to present their ongoing research and receive valuable feedback. The 2013 forum is organized in two phases: during the first phase, the students will participate in a day long workshop and work in close collaboration with seasoned researchers in the field on crafting their research agenda and preparing for the open session; During the main PerCom conference, the students will first participate in a 1-minute madness oral presentation and then present their ongoing research work to the PerCom community at the poster session. The open session during the conference encourages interaction among the PhD students and other members of the community from academia, industry, and government. Furthermore, there will be a panel on pervasive education that will be open to all conference on Monday, March 18, 2013.

The proceedings include a two-page abstract of each submission.
I would like to acknowledge the great contribution of the PhD Forum Committee members who reviewed the PhD submissions and were actively involved in the PhD Forum workshop
