HOTELS: Hotels at a range of daily rates are available (see
conference website). All are conveniently located with respect to the
conference site. There will be free buses running between the hotels
and the conference site. All hotels have satisfactory airconditioning
and other usual facilities - they should all suffice. The more
expensive ones have central airconditioning, superior room
furnishings, modern buildings and superior service. Suit your needs.
Blocks of rooms have been reserved at each of the hotels listed on the
website. Please make your reservations early. After October 30, the
hotels are free to release the rooms to others.

Before Sometime in the Second Week of Dec and After Dec 24: Most fares for Chicago-Bombay-Chicago (or Chicago-Delhi-Chicago) range from $950 to $1350 depending on when you leave and on which airline. Dec 14-Dec 24: This is high season; expect to pay $200-300 more. Before Thanksgiving: Lowest fares.

Mallika Sarabhai is co-director of the Darpana Academy of Performing
Arts, where she co-ordinates the training of hundred of students in
dance, theatre, puppetry and music, and directs the Darpana Dance
Company, the Janavak Folk and Tribal Dance Company, and Darpana for
Development. Her career has developed from being a young,
internationally acclaimed, classical dancer and film personality, to
being an activist and commentator on social issues. As dancer,
actress, choreographer, writer and instigator of community projects
she challenges audiences to sit up and think, to realign themselves to
questions of ecology, cultural atrophy, and the very place of the arts
in our society.
