The Gigabit Ethernet Project
Software and traffic traces
This page makes available software developed as part of the Gigabit Ethernet
Project. Unless otherwise stated, all software is made available here for
open use with no restrictions. Also available here are traffic traces
collected for traffic characterization.
Software:
-
The REMOTE tool allows for automatic remote execution of console mode programs
(such as CSIM18 simulation models) on network-connected Windows PC's. A
description of the REMOTE tool and download information is...
here.
- The continued development of performance evaluation related source code
tools on the
tools page is made possible by this grant. This includes a set of tools
that were used to reproduce some of the key results from the well known
Leland et al. Bellcore traffic study.
Traffic traces:
- Traffic traces have been collected for a wide-range of link, server,
operating system, and client configurations. The collected trace files are
contained in traffic.zip (395 Mbyte ZIP file), see
the readme1.txt.
